Rich and creamy Spicy Tahini Dressing is delicious on salads or drizzled over your next comfort bowl. And you make the whole shebang in your blender!

My son is not a fan of spicy food. For a spice-lover like me, that can be kind of a bummer, but I've found ways to bring the heat without setting my kid's mouth on fire.

Spicy Tahini Dressing is a great way to accommodate different tastes with a single dish. I can make a nice, mild meal for my family, then Dave and I can douse our bowls with spicy goodness!

    Recipe notes

What makes this dressing recipe so easy is that you make the whole thing in your blender. No chopping or even stirring required!

This dressing seriously could not be simpler to make. Just toss a little bit of fresh garlic and ginger into the blender. Add chili-garlic sauce, tahini, water, a touch of agave nectar and soy sauce, and some lime juice.

    Blend, and devour!

Seven ingredients, 10 minutes, blend, and DONE.

    Serving ideas

After you finish pureeing your dressing, you are ready to pour it onto ALL OF THE FOOD!

The finished sauce is creamy, spicy, and delicious. I love to eat it:

    • drizzled over lettuce or kale salads
    • as dipping sauce for tofu wings or vegan spring rolls
    • as the dressing for your next slaw
    • on a grain bowl
    • on a Mashed Potato Bowl
    • with stir fries
    • as a spread for sandwiches and wraps

I KNOW! Put it on all of the food, y'all!

Hi Becky-- Love your recipes. Just wondering, what happened to the Tahini mayo recipe you had posted on the site? I bookmarked it and the page is no longer there, and I can't seem to find it anywhere on your site when I search. That recipe CHANGED MY LIFE-- I hope you'll repost it, it is amazing!

      Thanks!

Oh no! Thank you for commenting - I took it down temporarily, and I just looked, and it has completely disappeared!! I must have clicked delete instead of just turning it back into a draft post. Ack! Let me see if I can track down the recipe, and I'll email it to you.

I love ginger in salad dressing, add chili flavor and it's perfection.

This dressing looks so good, Becky! And what a great idea to use it in a way that accommodates different palates. Not everyone is into spicy stuff. (Poor them.) :D

Thank you, Cadry! It's a skill I've had to learn, since there's no way I'm eating all mild food!

I've never seen Dorot products here - and now I'm bummed!! I'd love to have that convenience occasionally, and I'm not fond of the jarred prepared garlic/ginger (you can taste the preserved flavor). Man!! Ok, next trip to the US I'm looking for these - thanks Becky!

Ooh, these look awesome! I never have fresh ginger when I need it. Totally grabbing some next time I'm at the store, and trying your dressing too. I love tahini!

Thank you, Sarah! Yeah, I grabbed an extra of the ginger. Darrol is so spice-averse right now, I rarely use enough ginger to justify buying a bit hunk of it fresh, unfortunately.

I've seen those Dorot squares in the frozen foods aisle and wondered about them!

Your dressing looks delicious! I'll throw that all over my next bowl!

I've seen those Dorot packages in the store before, but I've never known what to do with them. Now I do! This dressing looks so good I'd pour it over just about everything!
